Join us for a fun and hands-on day at Pitchcott Farm, near Aylesbury, where we’ll be planting some of Oxfordshire’s endangered wetland plant species, helping to restore a vital habitat and give nature a real boost.

It’s not just about planting – you can also join landowner and farmer Tony Langford on a guided farm tour to discover how farming and nature can thrive side by side.

Everyone’s welcome – bring your family and friends for a day of nature, fresh air, and friendly company. You’ll get to:

  • Plant out GroWet species and learn about habitat restoration from our expert team
  • Try your hand at pond dipping and water quality testing
  • Hear from Tony about his inspiring journey to create the Pitchcott wetlands in partnership with Freshwater Habitats Trust

Please bring:

  • A snack and plenty of water
  • Waterproof footwear (wellingtons preferred)
  • Gardening gloves
  • Weather-appropriate clothing

We’ll provide all tools and equipment needed for planting.

Meeting/Parking:

We’ll meet at the farm car park before heading to the wetland site:

Important to know:

  • The farm cafe will be open for a bite to eat either before or after the activity begins!
  • The wetland site is a 25-minute walk from the car park so please wear comfortable shoes
  • Toilets are available at the farm, but not at the wetland site
  • Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed

Come ready to get muddy, learn something new, and help create a thriving home for wildlife.

We look forward to seeing you there!
