In this workshop we will explore how people have approached developing a strengths based culture in their workplace; from helping people to recognise their character strengths in appraisals, through to establishing new practices that result in different and creative ways of working. We’ll learn about the challenges and the successes as people learn to share personal skills that go beyond their job role. We’ll also reflect on the steps you can take to move towards a strengths based culture in the organisations you work in.
By the end of this workshop you will have:
• Developed a shared understanding of what a strengths based culture is
• Improved your confidence to grow a strengths based culture in the workplace
This workshop is facilitated by Bridget Grenville-Cleave, a leading practitioner of Positive Psychology in the UK (www.workmad.co.uk).

You're Welcome Workshops
You’re Welcome is a ten-year plan set up by Barnwood Trust. It’s all about creating more welcoming and inclusive communities across Gloucestershire to help people do the things they enjoy, and get to know more people where they live. You’re Welcome is for everyone, from all walks of life, and that includes people for whom life can sometimes be tricky.
At the heart of You’re Welcome is our new Learning Programme which offers fun and inspiring learning experiences to support you to grow more welcoming and inclusive communities. Join us for one, or a series, of workshops which are all designed to enable you and your community to get better connected with everyone who lives there. The workshops are open to everyone living in Gloucestershire and people working here, and are offered free of charge. If after reading through the programme you can’t find what you’re looking for then please give us a call to discuss your interests.
