About this event

This course is for schools that are considering starting a new multi-academy trust or new trusts that are considering the options available to grow. Delegates will be given the opportunity to discuss the start up process and existing MAT growth options, focussing on how to create a sustainable infrastructure for long-term success and financial viability.

Aims

  • Discuss the process of starting a new trust and selecting partners
  • Discuss and evaluate strategies to grow your trust strategically in order to remain successful and financially viable
  • Consider effective collaboration strategies within the MAT
  • Review the role of the CEO
  • Evaluate central trust staff structures
  • Consider effective trust wide school improvement strategies
  • Consider effective trust wide financial viability and staffing structures
  • Discuss achieving economies of scale across the trust

Objectives

  • Investigate the MAT application process
  • Investigate MAT growth options – how to grow strategically and retain outstanding outcomes
  • Consider collaboration and how school leaders can improve all aspects of MAT life through effective collaboration and communication
  • Evaluate best practice staffing structures for the central team and individual schools within the trust
  • Review the role of the CEO and the changes necessary to accommodate a growing trust
  • Discuss and develop ideas for trust wide school improvement strategies to secure the best outcomes for pupils across the trust
  • Discuss and develop ideas for developing a financially viable and sustainable trust infrastructure incorporating economies of scale

Head Teachers, CEO's, Executive Head Teachers and Chief Finance Officers in all sectors.

Do I need my membership number to book?

Yes. If you are booking a member place you will be required to enter the correct membership number. You can find your membership number by phoning membership on 0300 3030333 option 2.

Is my booking transferrable?

Bookings may only be transferred at the discretion of the Professional Development team. These will need to be made in writing to events@naht.org.uk before the event. Transfers and cancellations may be subject to a charge.

Cancellation fees

Within 31 working days - 25% charge

Within 14 working days - 50% charge

Within 7 working days - 75% charge

Within 3 working days - 100% charge

Can I update my registration information?

Any updates to your booking must be made in writing to the Professional Development team at events@naht.org.uk

Does the name on the booking need to match the delegate?

The names of each individual delegate must be entered during the booking process along with a unique email address for each delegate as this will be used for the final confirmation.
