About this Event
Learn about growing communities with Ian Solomon-Kawall from the May Project Gardens (MPG). Ian raises awareness of social & environmental issues and teaches people how to grow change and communities. Join Ian to celebrate Black History Month with an interactive workshop to learn more about his work through music and performance and be empowered to use your cultural experiences and skills to grow change.
Ian Solomon-Kawall is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the grassroots community organisation May Project Gardens, which reconnects people with nature for personal, social and economic transformation. Operating for over 12 years from his council house in Morden, Ian and MPG provide open days for volunteers, events Come We Grow and the Award Winning Hip-Hop Garden program. With an abundance of cultural experiences and skills, the MPG collective includes gardeners, activists, musicians, performers, public speakers, MCs, and DJs who work together to grow change in their community.
