The Annual Gathering of Growing Durham, the community gardening project of Food Durham focuses on growing food and health this year. The 2016 Gathering is hosted by Durham County Council in Bishop Auckland Town Hall. Participants will hear from a range of speakers including Dr Margi Lennartsson, Garden Organic Associate, Growing Health, as well as from some of the projects that Growing Durham has worked with in the past year.
The Growing Durham Annual Gathering starts with a pulse-based lunch (2016 is the International Year of Pulses) and an opportunity to network with participants of the Food Durham Annual Gathering which takes place in the morning. There will also be a 'market place' of relevant organisations and projects.
Lunch is served from 12.15pm with the Growing Durham Annual Gathering starting at 1.30pm.
