Event description
Come and volunteer at The Jetty on The Growing Food Project

About this event

Welcome to our new regular volunteering group at The Jetty. Help us grow food, water The Jetty and look after the amazing range of exotic plants.

Get to know The Jetty and how to care for the plants inside it and also be part of a new and exciting food growing project. The food growing project is a way for the local community to have a gardening space that they can contribute. Each week we will be planting food crops, watering the site, maintenance of the existing plants and gardening chat over tea break.

• You don’t need any previous experience and we provide tools and gloves

• We will supply tea and coffee and the essential biscuits

• Wear old clothes and trainers or boots

• You must be 18 or over

It’s a great opportunity to get involved in your local community and meet new people.

All help is much appreciated.

Every day, The Conservation Volunteers (or TCV as we’re known) works across the UK to create healthier and happier communities for everyone. We do this by connecting people and green spaces to deliver lasting outcomes for both.
