Join Jacky and Julia for an opportunity to learn more about home grown fruit. The talk will cover:-
* Choosing the correct size and varieties for your garden
* Planting, feeding, pruning & aftercare
* Apple storage advice
* Potager, orchard & kitchen garden inspiration ideas from our Design Team
You will leave with plenty of ideas on how to make the most of your home grown fruit. We will spend some time outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather on the day.
Julia is an extremely knowledgeable horticulturalist, who has a passion for "The Kitchen Garden". She comes from a family in Ireland who grew vegetables commercially. She studied Botany at Trinity College Dublin, Kinsealy Research Centre and The Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin.
Julia has designed several gardens including the garden for Princess Anne's visit to the Paddocks Housing Trust, and frequently gives horticultural talks, writes garden articles for local magazines and recently developed a gardening YouTube channel.
Arrive at 10.15 am for 10.30 am start. The talk ends at 12 noon.
