How to overcome the HR challenges that arise from business growth
At this Engagement Excellence Live event in June, we're going to be focussing on business growth and the HR challenges associated with it. We'll be hearing from a number of companies of different sizes who have experienced exponential growth in recent years. They'll be revealing the HR challenges that have arisen as a result of business growth and sharing the strategies they've used to overcome those challenges.
Jimmy McLoughlin, Head of External Relations at the IOD, will open the event with a look at economic growth in the UK, investigating whether it is stalling and how this is affecting businesses and decision making over the coming years. He will also cover the all important EU referendum and potential Brexit and the impact this could have on the UK.
Hilary Scarlett, International Speaker and Author of Neuroscience for Organisational Change - an evidence-based, practical guide to managing change - will be joining to discuss the impact of growth and change on our brains and ability to perform. Hilary will be sharing some key advice and takeaways for HR leaders going through growth.
Nick Miller, CEO of Meantime Brewing Co, will present two case studies of business growth, drawing on experiences from his time at major breweries Peroni and Meantime. Nick will talk about the incredible growth achieved across both businesses, focusing on a key move from being production led to sales and marketing led, and how culture and values played such an important role in the transition.
Dominic Taylor, Senior Enterprise Consultant at Reward Gateway, will be sharing the engagement strategy that powered their growth. As a private equity owned business, Reward Gateway changed ownership last year and received a £140m investment from US-based Great Hill Partners. Dominic will be giving us a peek behind the curtain at Reward Gateway and will reveal the tools they use internally to engage staff.
To wrap up the day, Catrin Lewis, Internal Communications Manager at Reward Gateway, will be revealing how they kept staff in the loop with the change of ownership by using open and honest communications. Catrin will share the communication channels and types that were used, what went well and what they learnt from it.
And finally, we'll be hosting a live Q&A with our panel of speakers giving guests the opportunity to ask any questions.
Tickets are limited, so make sure you reserve yours in advance. A complimentary lunch will also be provided at the event, giving you the opportunity to network with industry peers.
