About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 30 minutes

There are many organisations and services in Perth and Kinross providing different types of peer support. The Growing Peer Support Conversation Café is a chance for you to come together and meet!

Peer support in suicide prevention means different things to different people. It can mean support with our mental health and wellbeing, the challenges we face in life (such as homelessness, addiction, discrimination due to sexuality or ethnicity), being in crisis/suicidal, following a suicide attempt and bereaved by suicide.

We're delighted to be supporting this partnership event organised by Cruse Scotland and Mindspace. If you're involved in peer support in the area, we'd love you to join us as we connect and explore ways to link in with each other , discuss what's important to us, and the possibilities a peer network could offer in the region.

Who is this workshop for?

  • Peer Support Volunteers, Peer Facilitators and paid Peer Workers
  • Peer support groups and services

What can you expect on the day?

The Growing Peer Support Conversation Café will provide you with an opportunity to meet people involved in peer support and peer activity across Perth and Kinross.

We will look to:

  • Identify the range of peer support activity
  • Share experiences and learning
  • Consider what a peer network could offer people involved in peer support

Refreshments will be available.

There will be an area for groups, services and organisations to share their information and resources.
