Event description

Description

We have seen a rapid change in our economic, social and technological environments. These changes have led to both opportunities and challenges for young people.

City of Wolverhampton Council and its partners are developing a Positive Engagement Strategy

The strategy will help to understand what it is like to grow up in Wolverhampton and shape the future policy on what the City’s offer is to Children, Young People & Families. The strategy will focus on:

  • Being Healthy - ensuring good emotional, social and mental wellbeing
  • Being Connected - ensuring positive identity and relationship with the community
  • Being Aspirational - ensuring young people have the chance to be their best version

There are many public, voluntary and community sector agencies that offer key services and positive activities.

By working together, they can help to meet the needs and aspirations of our young people.

Growing up in Wolverhampton Stakeholder Event

Our Stakeholder Event is open to anyone working with children and young people in the City. We want your input to shape the proposed strategy and to hear what your organisation is doing.

The aim is to work together in our vision of happy and healthy children and families.

The event will consist of keynote speakers and offer an opportunity for stakeholders to tell us:

  • what provisions are available for children and young people in the City?
  • which provisions are working well?
  • where can we make improvements?

Location: Workspace in Wolverhampton, WV2 2AS

Date: Monday 23rd September

Time: 1pm to 4pm

Price: free for stakeholders
