Growing your Confidence in Delivering your One Minute Pitch
Tue 18 April 2017, 13:00 – 16:00 BST
Delivering your one minute pitch at networking meetings can be a challenge. How do you get your message across in only 60 seconds? How do you convey what your business is about AND what you need that particular month?
Creating your pitch by using a script can make your delivery stilted and creates an over-reliance on your piece of paper...and when your paper shakes, that only adds to your nerves.
Here's how previous delegates have benefited:
"The structure of a 1 minute... It gives it a focus rather than me just fumbling around for ideas on what to say."
"The most useful aspect for me was learning what to leave out...I am usually too brief, or I waffle and become unfocused."
"The relevance of focusing on the Why sunk in...very useful in being clearer about what I do."
"I really enjoyed it and the time went so fast, I can’t believe where it went. You are very talented and knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the privilege of learning from you."
How this session will help you
- You will leave the session understanding why your 'Why' is so important.
- You will learn how to structure your pitch in a way that you can easily slot in timely information, sandwiched between a strong start and finish.
- I'll remind you to stop using and all those other words that undermine your delivery.
- You'll get to practice techniques to boost your confidence and steady your voice.
I create a trusted environment where you can feel safe to practice in front of others, receive constructive feedback and learn from each others' delivery styles. If you choose, we will even record your talk for you to watch at home later.
How would it feel to nail your 1-minute pitch? Come along and you will experience just that!
Please arrive for a prompt 1 pm start. We will end the training at 15:30 for those who need to do the school run, but an additional 30 minutes has been added for additional practice and discussion.
