Growth Hub Provider Network: The automotive sector and opportunities for gr...
Wed 10 May 2017, 09:00 – 12:00 BST
Join us for a sector briefing on the automotive sector for business support providers in the North East Growth Hub network.
You'll hear from Paul Butler, CEO of the North East Automotive Alliance who will discuss the opportunities for growth and growth barriers/issues followed by Q&A.
Paul is an experienced cluster practitioner and joined the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) as Chief Executive Officer in March 2015. He is the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis and is the UK’s only Benchmarking Expert for the UK. Prior to his appointment, Paul spent almost a decade on the management team of the North East Process Industry Cluster (Nepic).
There will be a roundtable discussion on the perceived barriers, especially innovation/business growth/supply chain development issues, to supporting the automotive sector; where are there opportunities for supporting the growth of businesses in the automotive and proximate (especially advanced manufacturing) sectors; and from a provider perspective, how can the sector cascade information effectively from national to regional to local levels?
There will also be a discussion on finance and business support requirements for automotive supply chain and proximate sectors as well as the opportunity to hear from Charlie Nettle from The Chartered Institute of Marketing in the North East.
