Join us in celebrating 10 years of Grrrl Zine Fair with a busy two-day festival at our home, The Old Waterworks Artist Studios in Southend-on-Sea!
Free entry, all ages !
Look forward to our 10th birthday exhibition ‘The spaces where we keep on finding each other’ (featuring zines from our online & in person residents and our GRRRL10 micro-commissions) zine stalls, creative workshops, live music, performances, talks, food trucks and much much more.
Saturday 20th September | 2-9pm
Accessible quiet hour: 1-2pm
You only turn 10 once - live bands, DJs, screen printing, junk journaling, badge making, zine workshops, 20+ zine stalls, cafe, food and bar for a big birthday bash.

Chill, mellow and ambient - perfect for those looking for a quieter, calmer experience or those recovering from the night before. Expect morning yoga, zine workshops, riosgraph printing, comedy, 15+ zine stalls, and end the day with a cosy film screening of The Disappearance Of Shere Hite - a documentary about German sex therapist Shere Hite's pioneering study of women's sexuality, "The Hite Report" which sold millions of copies but somehow isn't a household name... yet
Plus food trucks + coffee.

Location
We are a 10/15 minute walk from Southend Central and Southend Victoria stations and Prittlewell Station, and there is some limited parking space available.
The Old Waterworks has two genderless bathrooms. We'll have a disabled portaloo on site for the event.
Access
We have wheelchair access at our entrance with a ramp to our inside zine fair, however our inside toilets are not currently wheelchair accessible.

Yes children are welcome, and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Some content of the zines and music may be adult, please use your own discretion.
Workshops are first-come first first-served. On the day, please arrive at least 10 minutes before workshops start.
