Legends of the 90s music scene Cast, Space and Inspiral Carpets Clint Boon are heading to Warrington this summer to headline a FREE live music event - GS Warrington Music Festival 2017.
The evening kicks off with Clint Boon on decks playing legendary indie and dance tunes to warm up the crowd.
Then taking to the stage, Space who enjoyed huge success in the mid-90s with their singles ‘Neighbourhood’ and the bona fide classic ‘Female of the Species’ securing them chart success and ensuring albums ‘Spiders’ and 1998’s ‘Tin Planet’ were big sellers. Reuniting in 2011 after a few years apart, the band have been recording and performing at festivals across the country, and 2017 will see them on tour again – with GS Music Festival one of their first live dates of the year.
Headliners Cast, also from Liverpool formed in the early 90's, they have released five studio albums, with their debut ‘All Change’ becoming the biggest-selling debut of all time for Polydor Records, and their second album Mother Nature Calls also going platinum. More than a decade after disbanding in 2001, the original line-up of John Power (guitar/vocals), Liam ‘Skin’ Tyson (lead guitar), Pete Wilkinson (bass) and Keith O’Neill (drums) reunited for the acclaimed ‘Troubled Times’ in 2012, and this year are going on tour to support their brand new sixth album.
Drinks will be available from various bars and restaurants as well as a pop-up bar. Also, a selection of food choices is accessible from the many eateries on site.
