GSL Essentials (West Sussex)

This one day workshop has been designed with newly appointed Group Scout Leaders (GSL) in mind. However, we are also happy to welcome those who have been in the role for a while and would like an update, those undertaking parts of the role as an Assistant Group Scout Leader (or similar), and anyone interested in knowing more about the GSL role.
The day covers key areas of the GSL role including:
- The role of the GSL
- Support available to you
- Effective Executives
- Managing your Group
- Scouting safely
- Introduction to development planning
From the A27, at the junction with A280, take the Titnore Lane south towards West Worthing. Turn first left into Titnore Way and left at the mini roundabout. The Centre is then on the right - turn right for the car park.
From the South on the A259/A2032 take Titnore Lane north and turn right into Titnore Way, or take Yeoman Road and turn left at the roundabout into Romany Road and right at the next Roundabout.
Bring: A note pad and pen. You will be given a copy of the 'GSL Essentials' and other supporting materials.
Refreshments: Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available at intervals during the day.
Lunch: A free buffet style lunch (sandwiches, crisps, fruit) will be provided.
