Welcome to the GTA England Employer Advisory Group! Join us in person at Siemens to look at short courses within the levy and increasing investment in skills. The Modern Industrial Strategy announced that from April 2026 in the IS-8 sectors (which includes engineering and advanced manufacturing) a series of shorter courses would be made available for employers to access through the growth and skills levy. DfE and Skills England are keen to speak to the employer and employer-led organisations of GTA England to help make evidence-based and effective decisions on which courses to include. GTA England is giving you as employers the chance to have your say on what should be included. DfE is also keen to explore what more can be done to support or incentivise employers to invest over and above the levy in skills.
