GTA Learning and Teaching skills development series (Glasgow)
Overview
GCU is committed to providing an excellent student learning experience. If you are a postgraduate research student involved in teaching and student learning we have an introductory skills development series to support you to deliver this, and to help you feel confident in your learning and teaching. The series aims to give you an understanding of effective teaching and some practical skills to support your teaching practice and development.
The GTA series comprises a variety of on campus, synchronous, and asynchronous learning opportunities and experiences. The series workshops take place on 20 January (on campus) and 22 January (online). Times are:
Tuesday 20 January: 10 am-12 noon and 1-3pm (2 sessions in the one day, both on campus in room B024 – ground floor of the Britannia building)
Thursday 22 January: 1-2pm (online – the link for the session will be made available via GCUearn. You will be attached to that and then sent an email as to how to access this closer to the time for the start of the series.)
Your expected time commitment is approximately 7 hours. This includes attendance at the workshops and the completion of a reflective ‘Record of Learning’. On completion of the series you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Places are limited to 30 so register soon using your relevant GCU staff or student email to secure your place!
