Mohamed Bzeek, originally from Libya, moved to the U.S in 1978 for the university but stayed after getting married to Dawn, a foster mom for terminally ill children. Together they looked after 80 terminally ill children. His wife passed away in 2015, yet he continues to care for the girl that they adopted together, Samantha. The little girl suffers from Anencephaly, the absence of a major portion of the brain which results in her being deaf and blind. Samantha was 6 months old when they took her in and the doctors didn’t expect her to make it to her first birthday. Now she’s almost seven and Mohamed wants to celebrate this success with a birthday party. However, it may not turn out as planned and may lead to a new dilemma.
ENSAR ALTAY
He was born in 1980 in Erzurum, Turkey. He received his graduate degree in Economy from Uludag University, but he always had an interest in cinema. He went to London and study at the London Film Academy earning a Filmmaking Certificate. He then worked as a TV Director and Producer for four years. Since 2012 he only produced TV Documentaries. He also participated in many festivals for documentaries he made for TV Channels. Guardian of Angels is his first documentary movie.
The London Turkish Film Week is back for a second year between April 24th and 30th with a raft of talented film-makers, actors and more.
All films will be screened with English subtitles.

Yunus Emre Institute (Turkish: Yunus Emre Enstitüsü ) was established as a foundation in 2007 with a specific aim to promote the history, culture and language of Turkey. It was named after the famous 13th century Poet Yunus Emre. This bridge-building mission has resulted in 58 branches of the institute opening around the world, including in London in November 2010. The institute plays an important role in education and culture: it is one of the primary places in Britain to learn Turkish. Located in Maple Street, Fitzrovia, it houses an extensive library that is open to students and academics; and it regularly holds an array of classes and events to teach and promote traditional and contemporary Turkish art and Turkish culture. In doing so, the Yunus Emre Enstitüsü seeks to increase the cultural exchange and improve the friendship between Turkey and the United Kingdom.
