Event description

Description

The Guerrilla Media Unit is a group of artists that gather together to create extraordinary stories using contemporary media. We’re recruiting new members, and all are welcome - you don’t need any specific experience to take part.

Over the course of four Saturdays, we’re going to create a radical documentary film. Each session will involve a skills workshop from a world-class artist (including drone photography, film editing and sound design) followed by an exploration into the town. We‘re going to be interviewing folks from around Weston with a unique perspective on the town.

The group is facilitated by John Norton (award winning theatre maker, DJ and BBC radio producer), with visiting experts (including wildlife cameraman Tom Beldam) dropping in to offer workshops.

Saturdays: 13th April, 20th April, 27th April & 4th May
2-6pm meeting at Weston Artspace.

Weston Artspace is a new hub on the High Street for the town’s creative community. If you’re a local artist, you’re welcome to use the space to work, meet, rehearse, design and collaborate. We’re running inductions for new members Sat 13th & 20th, 12-2pm (just before these sessions). Please email hello@terrestrial.org.uk to help us plan numbers.
