The PGs
To celebrate 40 years of 'Flaming Tunes', The PGs ( Mary Currie, Alison Craig, Nick Haeffner and Marcus Holdaway) will be performing a selection of songs from this iconic album created by Gareth Williams (This Heat) and Mary Currie back in 1985. Flaming Tunes was re-released on vinyl in 2012 on the Blackest Ever Black label. The review in The Quietus concluded “After all, what is a flaming tune? A gift handed down by a seven tongued fire god? Or something flaming Nora could sing along with?
In addition they will be playing a song from 'Dream Songs', Mary’s EP with Robert Sotelo which was released in October 2024 on Upset the Rhythm.
From is the solo project of Spanish artist Fernando Romero, currently living in the Netherlands. From is a musical mix of jazz, dub, post-punk and the Spanish musical tradition. From has released two albums with a wide range: Insecto (2022) and Modelo Para Armar (2024). With a large underground following within the peninsula, and now outside of it, From shows up to play wherever it's needed.
