Part of Theatreship's guest nights - where contemporary artists take over the ship to highlight the stories they want to tell.
In this edition, we welcome the folk group Tropanka to our stage.
Here's some more info from them:
Tropanka specialise in the exhilarating folk music towards and beyond Eastern Europe. From the mind-bending rhythms of Bulgaria to the tearjerking laments of Klezmer, the insatiable grooves of Macedonia and the majesty of Transylvanian music, Tropanka are passionate about the traditional soundscapes of these regions and share this music in unforgettable shows. Farida Flame Dance will be making a special appearance to transport you into the story with her flurries of fabric and daring belly dance.
Tropanka take their name from a Bulgarian dance literally translating to “the stompy one". Prepare to be fighting the urge to jump up from your seat. You will surely be jiggling your feet.
Doors open at 4:30pm.
Show begins 5.30pm.
Please arrive before 5.30pm as doors will be closed after the gig begins.
This event is suitable for children.

Theatreship is committed to broadening access to the arts - we know that ticket price is a huge barrier for some. If the regular ticket price is beyond what you feel able to afford for whatever reason, please don't hesitate to email us at tickets@theatreship.co.uk and we will do everything we can to help, no questions asked.
We also offer arts supporter tickets, for those that can, to pay a higher price to support the venue, the artists who perform here and subsidised tickets for others.
Due to the historic nature of the ship, we’re sorry to say there is not currently step-free access into the theatre space. We have dedicated staff on hand to help with stairs, and an onsite wheelchair once you’re inside the venue. If you have any access needs, please do e-mail us at access@theatreship.co.uk.
