About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Part of Theatreship's guest nights - where contemporary artists take over the ship to highlight the stories they want to tell.

In this edition, Caveh Zahedi showcases excerpt of his new film.

Here's some more info from the organisers:

Join legendary New York-based documentary filmmaker Caveh Zahedi for a work-in-progress excerpts screening of Ulysses & I, his ambitious reimagining of James Joyce’s post-modern classic.

A few years ago, Zahedi staged a play of Ulysses in New York and filmed the occasion. That day, he also had a camera crew trail each actor (including independent film staples like Eleanore Hendricks, Hannah Gross, and Lindsay Burdge) for 24 hours. Using that footage and more, he is currently at the start of an edit that may end up taking a decade or more, as he attempts to put together a 24-hour long film.

Join The Creative Nonfiction Film Weekend (CNFW) at Theatreship on June 29th and be one of the first people in the world to see excerpts from Ulysses & I. There will be a Q&A with Zahedi afterwards.

Recommended age rating: 15
