About this event

  • Event lasts 5 hours 30 minutes

A challenging E-bike ride from the Dorenell Visitor Centre up to the road to the Steplar track, over Dead Wifes Hillock, up through Dorenell wind farm to the base of Cooks Cairn and then back down via the Suie and following the Glenfiddich river to Glenfiddich Lodge. There is a real mix of terrain on this ride including country roads, tarmac, dirt wind farm roads and rough land rover track with multiple river crossings. This ride is aimed cyclists who are competent on a bike but are looking for some extra support or company to go on a longer adventure, you will be accompanied by a trained MTB leader. Even though the e-bike will help you up hills you still need to be prepared to be in the saddle most of the day. Some of the tracks can be quite rough with the most challenging aspects being the river crossings which can be walked. You can either bring along your own e-bike or hire one from the DDCA via Community Type: Bikes - Dufftown Community.

The route is 37km in total.
