About this event

PLEASE NOTE ON THURSDAY 3 JULY WE WILL MEET IN THE COUNTRY PARK, OUTSIDE THE VISITOR CENTRE DUE TO ONGOING CAR PARK WORKS ON BUTSER HILL, AND EXPLORE THE BOTTOM OF BUTSER HILL.

Join us for a short gentle social stroll around the top of Butser Hill. We will take our time, chatting and soaking up the views across the South Downs National Park.

You will be able to walk at your own comfortable pace.

Please make sure to put your correct email address when booking so we can contact you in the event of needing to make any changes to the walk.

What you need to know

  • Meet at 10am outside the Butser Roundhouse Café where you will be met by a member of Country Park staff.
  • Walks will be relatively flat and take up to 1 hour covering 0.5 - 1 mile at a gentle place.
  • You will need sturdy footwear and comfortable clothing suitable for the weather conditions, we recommend wearing long trousers or leggings. The hill top is very exposed to the elements so do bring enough layers and waterproofs.
  • Due to the exposed nature of the area we will need to cancel the walks in the event of heavy rain and winds.
  • Please bring a bottle of water and any medication that you may need plus money for a drink at the Roundhouse Café after the walk.
  • There are limited spaces so please make sure to book.
  • Parking charges apply at all times.
