Join us for a guided walk in Chatelherault Country Park. Our route follows wooded paths upstream above the Avon Water before looping back on the opposite bank. Along the way we’ll pass the famous Cadzow Oaks—some nearly 800 years old—ancient earthworks, and the ruins of 16th-century Cadzow Castle. This walk will also be a chance to look for and identify fungi. We’ll be joined by Betty Black, who will share her expertise in spotting and identifying the many species of fungi that may be found at this time of year.
Meet at Chatelherault Country Park visitor centre, Ferniegair, Hamilton, ML3 7UE.
