Event description
A more demanding walk on the South West Coast Path with some ascent/descent and stunning views of a long section of the South Cornwall coast

About this event

PLEASE ENQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING DATES PRIOR TO END OF JUNE 2021

A short bus trip to join the Coast Path at Polmear (NB on Bank Holidays this will be substituted with a cross country walk to Polkerris) then walk on rugged terrain across low cliff tops, crossing streams and visiting the tiny harbour of Polkerris. Many connections with Daphne du Maurier and her novels can be made on this headland. Climbing higher, with expansive views across St Austell Bay to Gribbin Head then returning via Polridmouth Cove to Fowey, with a castle visit at the end of this 6 mile hike.

You will need suitable clothing and footwear for rugged terrain and all weathers, a water bottle (1 litre is recommended) and a rucksack or other suitable carrier.

All dates flexible - please ask if you'd like this walk on an alternative date.
