Guided ride from Whitehaven to Cleator Moor with a musical twist

Join Sustrans for a guided family bike ride from Whitehaven Harbour to Cleator Moor
Bring your bikes and join in an hour’s gentle led ride with professional cycle leaders from Cyclewise along the mostly traffic free C2C cycleway.
You'll be following in the historical tracks of the old iron ore trains, and be met by the fantastic musical Boom Bike at Moor Row which will escort you on the final leg of your outward ride into Cleator Moor in grand musical style.
The pace will be easy so no one is left behind.
Please wear suitable clothing for the weather, bring sun protection, waterproofs and something to drink.
All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Your arrival will signal the start of our "Tracks of the Ironmasters" launch event taking place at Cleator Moor from 11am - 3pm. With many fun activities such as stories from Ian Douglas Storyteller and his magical pedal powered roll top caravan, music from the Boom Bike, treasure hunt, wildlife bingo & Spring Costume Parade with music and prizes at 1pm
If you wish to take part in the Spring Costume Parade at 1pm - you could "spring bling" your bike or yourself!
All you need is your bike and to book your free place via Eventbrite.
Places are limited so book as soon as you can.
Please be at the bandstand at Whitehaven Harbour for 9.30. The ride will leave at 10am promptly.
The return journey will be self led so you can stay and enjoy the event for as long as you like. Maps and directions will be provided – the route home is well signed.
There will be an additional number of guided ride places for Ladies and children via Breeze rides, leaving at the same time - contact for further details if places on this ride are filled.
