Guided River History Walk (with a twist!)

Join a special guided river history walk around Mildenhall and Barton Mills, taking in tales of river recreation, navigation, and restoration. Then, following the walk you will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing outdoor swim or dip in the river Lark.

During the walk, you will immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the river Lark, discovering its importance in the history of Mildenhall and Barton Mills.

Along the way you will hear stories of recreation, including memories of swimming, fishing, and having fun in the rivers. And you will be able to see sites of navigation and industry on or by the river Lark and see and hear how some of these sites are being changed to restore the river for wildlife.

After the walk, some might like to take a swim or dip in the river by Jubilee Fields.
