Find out more about College Lake its history, geology and - of course - wildlife!

During these walks our volunteer guide will take you on a walk around the reserve at a slower pace including rest stops. They’ll introduce you to seasonal highlights as well as some of our hidden history and wonderful wildlife. Please note that the focus of these walks may vary with the guide and groups interest.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.

Our trampers/mobility scooter are available and suitable for the walking route but they do need to be booked in advance and if you have not used them at our site before a training session is required - please email collegelake@bbowt.org.uk for more information from our visitor centre team.

Please be aware:

  • Please arrive on time at the Visitor Centre where we will start our walk. The session lasts 1h30 and involves gentle walking around the site with stopping points along the way.
