Event description

Description

Tours of the Hall and gardens offer visitors an exclusive experience of our heritage. Our expert volunteer tour guides will lead you on a journey through our fascinating history which encompasses 900 years of exploration, discoveries and quirky characters. The oldest building on site dates back to 1285 and is believed to be the oldest domestic building in North Warwickshire. You will also explore our Tudor Jettied Building and Great Hall, the bedroom of the naturalist, John Ray, the old kitchen and our grand Georgian west wing. The Walled Garden and orchard can be found hidden away behind the old cottages and have their own impressive stories to tell too.

£10.00 per Standard Adult, £4.00 per Friend of MH / Historic House member and FREE for U16s. Includes a tour of the Hall starting at 12pm, entrance to the Hall, gardens and grounds until 4pm and a complimentary hot drink in our tea-room (Willughby's). Tour last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes but this can alter dependent on how fast the group move between rooms and how many questions are asked.

These tours are open to the general public, but are also ideal for small organised groups who don't have high enough numbers to pre-book a private guided tour.

You can pre-book tickets online or reserve tickets over the telephone or via email. You may also turn up on the day before 12pm but we can not guarantee availability. Eventbrite charge a booking fee for booking tickets online.
