Is there disabled access at Gwrych Castle?

While we welcome all visitors, disabled visitors need to bear in mind that the Gwrych Castle Estate is a large property with great distances between various parts of the site. The terrain is often uneven, with many steep footpaths. Many of our pathways are unsuitable for wheelchair users and slopes can be tiring for a person assisting. Some self-drive three-wheeled vehicles, other pavement vehicles and powered wheelchairs may have difficulty on Gwrych Castle’s terrain.

Formal Gardens and Gardener’s Tower: There is access to the gardens, both by vehicles and wheelchairs.

As Gwrych Castle is privately owned, over two hundred years old, substantially ruinous and also Grade I listed, we are afraid we are not permitted to alter any part to make it more accessible at present.
