Londinium was the largest town in Roman Britain and there are substantial remains of the defensive wall and information plaques show where the wall definitely or probably was.

This three mile walk through the heart of London starts by the Tower of London with the best preserved sections of Roman Wall as well as an introduction to the Wall. The walk continues through Aldgate and Moorgate and finishes with some substantial sections by the Barbican.

The Museum of London is in the Barbican with an excellent display of finds from Roman London as well as a pleasant café for lunch.

There are a few further London Wall sites with and without plaques that people may want to explore afterwards.
This gentle walk takes about 90 minutes, including stops, with a further 20 minutes for people who want to explore the final Roman Wall sites following a 35 - 40 minute break in the Museum of London café.

The Roman display in the Museum of London is also worth a good hour or more
