Event description

Description

Enjoy a nightime walk in The Heart of England Forest led by Ed Leszczynski an ecologist from Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.

Spend your time exploring the ancient woodland to catch a glimpse of these fascinting creatures, using a bat detector to listen out for their ultrasonic calls, to identify each species and to help spot them flying around.

Ed will lead you and tell you why bats are a vital part of a forest's ecosystem and why they are protected. Come along and learn lots of exciting bat facts, including the best places to find them in the Heart of England Forest. Come prepared with all your questions and a keen eye.

While we do not set a ticket price for this event we kindly request that a minimum donation of £5.00 per adult is made. This will allow us to cover any costs and continue with our work and offering these guided walks through the Heart of England Forest.

Dress for the weather with sensible footwear, don’t forget a head or hand torch as no footpaths are lit and if you have your own detector please bring it along.

Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Numbers are strictly limited, so book your place early. This walk is weather dependant.
