Guided Walk: April Nature Walk
Sat 22 April 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 BST
Take a morning stroll around the beautiful Heart of England Forest with Head Forester, Stephen Coffey and learn about the ambitious vision to plant tomorrow's great native woodland.
Spend your time spotting birds, discussing trees of various ages and learning about the variety of wildlife that call these woodlands home. Make sure you come armed with all your woodland questions and Stephen will be on hand to give you his help, advice and a forester’s eye view on any issue – from blossom to butterflies he’s sure to have something to say.
While we do not set a ticket price for this event we kindly request that a minimum donation of £4.00 per adult is made. This will allow us to cover any costs and continue with our work and offering these guided walks through the Heart of England Forest.
Parking on the day will be available in the Barton car park, B50 4NP. Current Friends of the Forest with car permits are not required to make a further parking donation payment.
The walk will last around two hours – please remember to bring comfortable walking shoes as whilst it’s an easy going walk the ground is uneven in some places. Also remember to bring some water and a warm, waterproof jacket if the weather demands!
Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs kept on leads are welcome.
