About this event

Join us on Tuesday 2nd September 10am - 12pm for a guided walk around this chalk grassland site, a 57 acre nature reserve near Chipstead.

This site is well known for a wide variety of wildflowers. It is part of the Chipstead Downs Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is sheep grazed by the Downlands Project.

Come along and see how many rare plant species you can find! Learn more about the management of this special habitat.

Important information:

The walk is approximately 2 miles on footpaths - please note that there are some fairly steep hills.

Walking boots are recommended. We will walk at a gentle pace with lots of opportunities to stop and ask questions.

This walk is aimed at adults (18+ years old). Unfortunately this site is not suitable for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility. Please do not bring dogs on this walk.

Parking and meeting place:

Parking is available behind the Rambler's Rest Pub, off the B2032 / Outwood Lane - see map / image below.
