Join us for our guided walk; Holystone High & Low
A walk of contrasts, our walk highlights some of the diverse use of land within the National Park illustrating the work of the Forestry Commission, Ministry of Defence and Northumberland Wildlife Trust.
Following a series of public footpaths through the forest we visit Lady’s Well at Holystone then head north west before ascending to the heather-clad summit of Cold Law where we enjoy extensive views of the surrounding countryside. From the summit cairn and trig point we descend past the ruined farmstead at Harbottle Crag to join the Burma Road next to the National Park Information Point. Continuing downhill on the range road our route re-enters the forest and returns to the car park via the Holystone Burn Nature Reserve.
