Join us for our guided walk; Rothbury, Lordenshaws, The Simonside Ridge Path & Great Tosson
Our route begins with a gradual climb past the interesting Sharpe's Folly and up onto Lordenshaws where the 5000 year-old cup and ring carvings of Neolithic tribes can be examined.
Climbing to The Beacon Cairn, we follow the Simonsides' ridge path west enjoying stunning views north to the Cheviots and east towards the Northumberland coast. At the end of the ridge, we descend to the forestry track to the east of Tosson Hill. Our final descent takes us through the interesting settlememt of Great Tosson until a meander along the banks of the Coquet brings us back to Rothbury.
