Join us on our guided walk; The Schil
A strenuous walk, which ascends to the Border Ridge and then follows the Pennine Way southwards before returning along the College Valley.
Setting off from Hethpool, our route goes up the College Valley before turning north near Fleehope and climbing steeply to pick up the bridleway onto the Border Ridge. A further climb achieves the objective of the day, climbing The Schil and crossing the border into Scotland. Having enjoyed the stunning views, our route joins the Pennine Way over Black Hag before we descend to Trowupburn via Wideopen Head. We then and taks the footpath skirting the base of Sinkside hill back to the College Valley.
