About this event

Join us for a light stroll as we take in the beauty that Brightlingsea, Essex has to offer as we launch the start of the Great Coastal Birdwatch 2025! Our team of coastal rangers will guide you from Bateman's Tower to Moverons Farm and back.

They'll be pointing out not only the magnificent bird species we have on our coast, but also the important habitats and a variety of wildlife along the way. We'll be keeping track of the different species we see and submitting a Great Coastal Birdwatch form. This means if you join us on this walk, you'll be helping us get a better image of the variety of bird life on the Essex coast.

Whether you're after a fun family activity, you're a seasoned birdwatcher or just wanting to be outside in nature, this walk is perfect for you! Walks are suitable for all ages, and well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times to avoid disturbing the wildlife. Tickets must be booked for all adults and children attending, and under 18s must attend with an adult.

We will meet at the Bateman's Tower at 1PM. Please bring suitable footwear, as the paths can get muddy and slippery after wet weather. Free parking is available at Promenade Way (///tending.pack.amicably). There are toilets within the car park.

Please feel free to get in touch with us at: info.essex@birdaware.org for any questions or queries!
