Join us for a light stroll as we take in the beauty that South Woodham Ferrers, Essex has to offer as we celebrate the return of our Dark-bellied Brent Geese. Our team of coastal rangers will guide you from Marsh Farm Country Park to Clementsgreen Creek and back.
They'll be pointing out not only the magnificent bird species we have on our coast, but also the important habitats and a variety of wildlife along the way. We'll be celebrating the return of our migratory ducks, geese and wading birds for the winter. Special thanks to Essex Country Parks for their support in running this event.
Whether you're after a fun family activity, you're a seasoned birdwatcher or just wanting to be outside in nature, this walk is perfect for you! Walks are suitable for all ages, and well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times to avoid disturbing the wildlife. Tickets must be booked for all adults and children attending, and under 18s must attend with an adult.
We will meet at the Marsh Farm Country Park (free) at 1PM. Please bring suitable footwear, as the paths can get muddy and slippery after wet weather. Please note that there are no facilities (including toilets) at this Country Park.
