GUITAR WHARF WORKSHOP
Overview
This workshop is a practical and accessible introduction to guitar, bass, and stringed instrument setup and maintenance, designed to help players better understand how their instruments actually work.
Over the course of two hours, we’ll explore what makes an instrument healthy, playable, and reliable over time. You’ll learn how to read the signals your instrument gives you, how setup choices affect comfort and sound, and why regular maintenance is essential for playability, longevity, and value. We’ll also cover correct storage, basic care routines, and how to make informed decisions about adjustments or customisation.
The workshop is open to all musicians and collectors, regardless of experience level. The goal is education: giving you the vocabulary, awareness, and confidence to understand your instrument and take care of it properly.
Participants are welcome to bring their own guitar, bass, or similar stringed instrument to test their understanding and ask questions.
If you do, please bring a tuner, a capo and a small ruler.
The session will end with a small and informal aperitivo and time for conversation.
This month’s workshop is hosted at The Heath² Studio, an independent, multi-level daylight studio, known for fashion editorials, portrait and still life photography, and small-scale film productions.
Learn, share, and connect in this bright, inspiring space.
