UAE is known for its tourism, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, education, technology, financial services, electronics and engineering. The British Centre for Business there is a business-to-business professional services company established to provide operational support and market entry services in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to British companies.

Saudi Arabia is the largest economy in the region and the largest source of project opportunities (especially manufacturing, construction, wholesale & retail trade, banking & financial services and transportation) with non-oil growth currently running at 4.5%.

Qatar offers opportunities related to the 2022 World Cup, construction, hotels, restaurants, and insurance, plus engineering, oil & gas, healthcare, education, IT and manufacturing.

Bahrain has the most liberalised economy in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The 2015 Index of Economic Freedom ranked Bahrain as having the freest economy in the Middle East and 18th freest in the world, And is an important partner and base for UK companies in the Gulf given its position as a major trading hub in the region.

This event is organised by the Department for International Trade West Midlands and is funded through our EU co-financed SME International Growth Project. We therefore require West Midlands attendees to please complete, sign and post back to us the project enrollment form which will be emailed to you following receipt of your event registration.

Your 1:1 appointment schedule will be confirmed via email on receipt of your completed and signed IGP enrolment form. If you have already enrolled for the project just let us know via email. Please note enrolment does not commit you to anything, but enables you to attend project funded events and to be considered for IGP Trade Missions and modest grant support which your International Trade Adviser can advise you on.

These slots will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please select only 4 meetings. Additional meetings can be requested on the day and will be subject to availability.
