Expanding on last year's successful Gull Movement Workshop Part 1, Marion Maz, Mo Bottomley and Terah Walkup will guide you through this performance / movement / dance workshop (suitable for both complete beginners and intermediate practitioners) focussing on more intimate gull expressions, stories, legends, and gestures. Mythology, Mari-time travel, and Mewphoria will be explored through front-on and side-on facial expressions, gull gurning, hard stares, wing twooping, diddling, landing, taking off, sitting down, swiping, greeting, swallowing, regurgitating, looking around and doing nothing. Put aside your arrogant human anthropomorphism, and enter into a smaller head and a longer mouth. Marion and Mo will draw on elements of Butoh, clowning, Ken Campbell 'Shog' school of improvised theatre (e.g. 'flyting', 'nub', & 'Goader / Rhapsodes'), combined with an eggsploration of both ancient and contemporary gull narratives from the pages of the Janneroggion urban legends. Approximately 1 hour, (or longer if participants' faces get stuck in particular eggspression and have to be unstuck with solvents).
