"Gunpowder, Treason and Plot!" Walking Tour
Remember, Remember, the 5th of November! The poem taught to English children over the years is common and known in association with Guy Fawkes. Who was Guy Fawkes? Did he act alone? What was he trying to do? This fun and informative walk takes you on a stroll through the central government buildings of London, explaining as we go some of the more memorable events of the 17th & 18th Century. Learn how a King lost his crown (and his head), how an Admiral enjoyed a drink or two after his death, and how the greatest plot to destroy the government was foiled and avoided. This walk is approximately 2 hours and is suitable for families and prams.
This is a walking tour outdoors. Indoor/Interior not included. The walk will occur in all weather, except extreme weather where safety is at risk. Please dress appropriately for rain or cold weather. Please check travel before setting out in case of any delays. Refunds can only be made if cancellation occurs within 14 days of event date, due to other work being declined in order to reserve this time for you. Please designate a group leader to coordinate with your party.
