Gurdjieff devoted his life to understanding the real purpose of human existence. His method teaches how to use daily life as a means for inner development, without withdrawing from external responsibilities. Mr. Nyland, a direct pupil of Gurdjieff since 1924, was personally asked by Gurdjieff to lead a group in New York in 1945. He dedicated his life to the teaching and practice of these ideas, establishing a network of groups across the United States. This group follows in that tradition.
What to Expect:
- Practical application of Gurdjieff’s ideas in daily life.
- Exploration of inner work through shared insights and reflections.
- An open space for both newcomers and experienced students to engage with the Work.
If you are new to Gurdjieff’s teachings, you are welcome to join and explore this practical and profound approach to self-development. The meetings provide a way to engage with the Work in a supportive group setting.
“When you want to Work, find out first what is meant and be absolutely sure that what is meant you understand. And then make absolutely sure that you agree with what is supposed to be done. So that that what you wish to do, you can do wholeheartedly.”—
Willem A. Nyland, Jan. 6, 1968
