Description

This workshop will give you an introduction into probiotics, microbiome, ‘good’ vs ‘bad’ bacteria and the role they play in bodily functions and our overall health.

As studies on the human body and health continue to evolve, you may have heard that the health of our gut can have a big impact on what’s happening in the rest of our body. Now sometimes referred to as ‘the second brain’, it’s clear there’s more going on in our gut than we may be aware of.

We’ll introduce you to the what’s, why’s and how’s of the ancient art of fermenting food. You’ll learn about the benefits of fermented vegetables, and enjoy some samples. You’ll also get to have a go at making your own jar to take home.

Light refreshments will be provided

There is free parking on site either directly outside the centre and in any unmarked spaces on the business park.

Workshops are FREE to those who have registered with the centre and their carer.

1. Together Against Cancer (TAC) is a registered charity and receives no government or statutory funding, we rely solely on the generosity of charitable trusts, companies and public donations to fund our vital work.

2. No Refunds, exchanges or cancellations unless 7 days notice is given. This is due to the costs incurred in running the event. Donations can be made on the day and are entirely voluntary.

3. The workshop is open to everyone over the age of 18.

4. Photographs may be taken at our events and may be used in our publications and social media.
