GW4 consortium meeting: Statistical methods for intensively-measured health data

Monday 18 January 2016, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Bath

 Event details:

  • The afternoon event will run from 14:00 - 17:00

Meeting programme (morning part for GW4 consortium participants and invited guests):

10:00 - 12:00

 

 

Parallel round table discussions with the following topics:

 1. Working group on the analysis data from physical activity accelerometers

 2. Setting up an Early Career Researchers Group

 3. Collaboration on joint grant proposals; e.g. GW4 accelerator fund

 4. Any other topics which will be put forward by the GW4 consortium 

12:00 - 13:00

 Round tables convene to share and finalise ideas from discussions 

13:00 - 14:00

14:00 - 17:00

Speakers at the afternoon meeting include:

  •  Dylan Thompson (University of Bath) - Multidimensional Physical Activity – How to Develop a Scoring System that Cuts across Dimensions 
  • Sonja Greven (Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich) - Regression with Functional Data with Applications in Bioprocess Monitoring and Pig Sensor Data

  •  Marc Fiecas (University of Warwick) - Discrimination and Classification of Multivariate Time Series, with Applications to Sensor Data
  •  Vanessa Didelez (University of Bristol) - Imperfect Experiments and Instrumental Variables
