Gweithdy Cyanotype gyda Justine Montford i gydfynd â arddangosfa Ymddiriedolaeth Natur Gogledd Cymru

Dewch i ymuno â'r artist Justine Montford ar gyfer gweithdy argraffu Cyanotpe.  

Yn ystod y sesiwn byddwch yn gwneud casgliad o argraffiadau botanegol gan ddefnyddio blodau y mae'r artist wedi'u tyfu a detholiad o flodau gwyllt a glaswellt y mae hi wedi'u casglu a'u sychu. Byddwch yn dysgu popeth am "argraffu haul" a'r dull amgen o weithio gyda lampau UV ac amseroedd amlygiad pan nad yw golau haul ar gael. Yn ogystal â sut i sefydlu pethau gartref i barhau â'r broses yn eich amser eich hun, bydd y gweithdy yn cynnwys gwneud gwasg flodau i sychu eich blodau eich hun ac hanes diddorol y broses cyanotype. 

 Byddwch yn defnyddio detholiad o bapurau gwahanol gan fod pob math o bapur yn rhoi amrywiaeth wahanol o las y cyanotype. Byddwch yn dysgu sut i orchuddio'r papur, am hud y cemegau a ddefnyddir i greu'r argraffiadau rhyfeddol hyn i chi fynd â nhw adref.  

Mae croeso i chi ddod ag unrhyw fotaneg neu blu gyda chi yr hoffech eu hymgorffori yn eich gwaith celf. Nid oes angen unrhyw brofiad blaenorol, dewch i gael hwyl yn amgylchedd hamddenol ac hardd Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.

Cyanotype Printmaking Workshop with Justine Montford to coincide with the North Wales Wildlife Trust exhibition

Come and join artist Justine Montford for a Cyanotype printing workshop.  

Throughout the session you’ll make a collection of botanical prints using flowers the artist has grown and a selection of wildflowers and grasses she has collected and dried. You will learn all about “sun printing” and the alternative method of working with UV lamps and exposure times when sunlight isn’t available. As well as how to set things up at home to carry on with the process in your own time, making a flower press to dry your own flowers and the interesting history of cyanotypes.  

You will use a selection of different papers as each type of paper gives a different shade of the cyanotype blue. You will learn how to coat the paper and all about the magic of the chemicals used to create these wonderful prints for you to take home.  

Please feel free to bring any botanicals or feathers with you that you would like to incorporate into your artwork. No prior experience is necessary, just come and have fun in the relaxed and beautiful surroundings of Plas Glyn-y-Weddw.
