Dyma gyfle unigryw i fwynhau creu celf efo artist o fri gyda’r pwyslais ar y gwneud, ac fe fyddwch yn mynd adref gyda’ch gwaith celf gorffenedig.

Ganwyd Bert Isaac ym Mhontypridd yn 1923 ac astudiodd gelf yng Nghaerdydd rhwng 1940-44, lle y daeth o dan ddylanwad artistiaid Neo Ramantaidd fel Graham Sutherland, John Piper a Paul Nash. Roedd yn dirluniwr toreithiog, a ganolbwyntiai’n bennaf ar leoedd lle’r oedd tystiolaeth o weithgarwch dynol a diwydiant yn y gorffennol, gan gynnwys Chwarel Dorothea. Dychwelodd i rai o’r lleoedd hyn yn aml, gan gofnodi treigl amser a’r ffordd yr oedd natur yn ailfeddiannu’r dirwedd.

Gweithdy ar gyfer oedolion (18 oed a throsodd) yw hwn a bydd y niferoedd yn cael eu cyfyngu i 10 person er mwyn sicrhau fod pawb yn cael amser un-i-un efo’r artist.

Mae’r gweithdy am ddim ac yn cynnwys paned hyfryd o Poblado gerllaw.

In response to the BERT ISAAC EXHIBITION (05.07.2025 – 29.09.2025) at STORIEL Bangor, this is a workshop to learn and practice mixed media skills for all levels of experience under the inspirational guidance of JŴLS WILLIAMS, an industrial landscape painter from Bangor. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy artmaking with a prominent artist, with the emphasis on creating a finished piece of your own art.

Bert Isaac, was born in Pontypridd, South Wales, in 1923. Encouraged by his schoolteachers, he studied art at Cardiff from 1940-44, where he was influenced by Neo-Romantic artists such as Graham Sutherland, John Piper and Paul Nash. He was a prolific landscape painter, and favoured places that showed evidence of past human activity and industry, including Dorothea Quarry, Nantlle. He returned to some of these places often, documenting the passing of time and observing the rewilding of nature.

This workshops is for adults (18 years and over) and numbers will be kept 10 persons to ensure everyone gets one-to-one time with the artist.

The workshop is free and includes a lovely panad from nearby Poblado.

Places must be booked beforehand - so best to book early to avoid disappointment.
