“Arhoswch yn ddiogel, byddwch yn ddiogel”: deall eich cyfrifoldebau proffesiynol

Mae Cyngor y Gweithlu Addysg (CGA), yr awdurdod rheoli ar gyfer 7 grŵp sy’n ymwneud ag addysg a hyfforddiant yng Nghymru, wedi delio gyda dros 2,000 o achosion lle mae Priodoldeb ymarferydd i Ymarfer wedi’i gwestiynu.

Bydd y sesiwn angenrheidiol hon ar gyfer ymarferwyr a’r rhai sydd â chyfrifoldeb am staff yn eich cynorthwyo i gadw eich priodoldeb i ymarfer trwy:

  • ddod i ddeall Cod Ymddygiad ac Ymarfer Proffesiynol y CGA
  • trafod enghreifftiau o achosion go iawn ar bynciau megis perthnasau amhriodol, cyfryngau cymdeithasol, atal dysgwyr a lladrad o’r ysgol
  • archwilio pa ymddygiad sy’n briodol y tu allan i’r ysgol, gan ddefnyddio enghreifftiau o achosion go iawn lle mae ymarferwyr wedi mynd yn erbyn safonau’r CGA
  • manylu ar pam na chaiff rhai ymarferwyr gofrestru gyda’r CGA
  • cyflwyno canllawiau poblogaidd y CGA ar arfer dda mewn meysydd megis defnydd priodol o’r cyfryngau cymdeithasol; cynnal profion; asesu; arholiadau a goruchwyliaeth

Cynhelir y sesiynau dwy-awr hyn ar 5 a 6 Rhagfyr yn Ty Menai, yn yr Optic ac yng Nghlyndwr, Wrecsam. Ni fydd cost i’r rhai sy’n mynychu.

Saesneg fydd iaith y cyflwyniad, gyda chyfieithydd yn bresennol yn Ty Menai ac yn yr Optic, Llanelwy.

Bydd te/coffi ar gael yn y tri lleoliad 15 munud cyn ddechrau’r sesiwn.

Stay safe, be safe”: understanding your professional responsibilities

The Education Workforce Council (EWC), as the regulatory body for 7 groups involved in education and training in Wales, has dealt with over 2,000 cases where a practitioner’s Fitness to Practise has been called into question.

A must for both practitioners and those with staff responsibilities, this session will help you to remain fit to practise by:

  • unpicking the EWC Code of Professional Conduct and Practice
  • discussing real case examples on topics such as inappropriate relationships, social media, learner restraint and theft from school
  • exploring what behaviour outside of school is appropriate, using real case examples where practitioners have breached EWC standards
  • giving details of why some practitioners are refused EWC registration
  • presenting EWC’s popular good practice guides on areas such as the appropriate use ofsocial media and testing, assessment, exams and invigilation

These 2-hour sessions will be held on 5 and 6 December at Ty Menai, at Glasdir and at Glyndwr, Wrexham. There is no cost for participants.

The sessions will be presented in English, with a translator present at Ty Menai and at the Optic.

Tea/coffee will be available at the three venues 15 minutes before the start of the session.
